Jeanne Jolly - My Incredible Cousin
Thursday, November 12, 2009 Can I add that she’s my first cousin? I am so proud of my dear, lovely cousin and there aren’t enough superlatives to describe her without gushing terribly.
On top of being simply gorgeous, Jeanne Jolly is a major talent. She was a scholarship operatic vocalist at the New England Conservatory, where she received her Master’s. She moved to Los Angeles and went on to sing with Grammy Award winning trumpeter Chris Botti. Included on their US/Canada tour was Carnegie Hall. She now sings with so many people whose names even I recognize (I’m a bit of a paleosaurus), that it would take forever to list. And Jeanne would be embarrassed because she’s that humble.
Jeanne recently returned to live in North Carolina again and we were able to get together for some portraits a few weeks ago. It was truly a highlight of my year to spend some quality time bonding with my younger cousin. She is a complete delight, a bright light, a Star.
