Emily and Ben’s crafty DIY wedding was sent to us by
Angela Stott Photography. Emily wore a pretty lace key hole back gown, while her bridesmaids wore lovely taupe cocktail dresses that provided the base color for the couple’s wedding day palette of taupe, white, violet and soft pink. Emily and her bridesmaids carried bouquets of gathered white and violet blooms for the ceremony at the amazing Symmes Chapel nicknamed “
Pretty Place.” The stunning outdoor chapel with its spectacular views was the only decor needed for Emily and Ben’s ceremony. Once the vows were spoken, Emily slipped into a gorgeous vintage-look reception dress that she accessorized with a green pair of chuck taylors and the happy couple took some beautiful portraits on the property of Emily’s family home in Asheville. Family and friends helped put together the decor for Emily and Ben’s homespun wedding. Soft pink spider mums set in mason jars and silver tins decorated the reception tables while beautiful lavender wreaths hung in the windows. Guests were treated to a variety of Southern drinks including sweet tea, lemonade and our favorite concoction Arnold Palmer. Don’t miss any of the handcrafted details of the couple’s reception including the unique cake table display filled with homemade treats and family photos.
